The Baûbo Dictionary
B
Biological
Our intimate balms are 100% organic, a rare feat in the world of cosmetics. So rare, in fact, that we had to convince a laboratory to formulate according to our criteria! Our products are certified by Ecocert Greenlife according to the Cosmos standard, the most demanding organic label in Europe. Moreover, Baûbo products far exceed the 20% organic content required for certification, with levels ranging from 75% to 100% organic. Our clean and natural formulas are therefore perfectly suited to even the most sensitive mucous membranes, for ages 0 to 99!
C
Calybiota® Organic
The "signature" active ingredient of Baûbo's Intimate Pain, a natural prebiotic based on red kapok flower, is designed to rebalance the intimate flora, reduce inflammation and preserve the comfort of the mucous membranes.
F
For external use
All care is for the intimate mucous membranes and the exterior only, so that our intimacy feels good and protected.
G
Gentle care
A gesture or product to take care of one's intimacy without irritating it, like a small, gentle and comforting ritual of pleasure.
H
Hydrosol
A hydrosol is an aromatic water obtained by steam distillation of a plant. During this process, essential oil is also produced. While both generally contain the same beneficial properties, the hydrosol is much gentler than the essential oil because it is less concentrated. Perfect for sensitive skin and mucous membranes! Which hydrosols does Baûbo use? In the Intimate Serum, for example, we use blackcurrant hydrosol for its anti-inflammatory properties, linden hydrosol to soothe and refresh, and fir hydrosol to relieve discomfort.
I
Intimate hygiene
Cleanse and take care of your intimate area without disturbing it, listen to your body and choose gentleness for a little moment just for yourself.
Intimate hydration
Nourishing tissues and mucous membranes for greater comfort and well-being, a little shot of love and gentleness for our intimacy every day.
Irritations
Tingling, redness or itching caused by friction, soaps or overly aggressive products — nothing dramatic, just a reminder that your body deserves gentleness.
Intimate Flora
The “friendly” microorganisms that protect our privacy and keep everything in balance; let us think of them as our little invisible heroes to cherish.
Intimate dryness
When our intimate area feels a little dry or tight, often due to hormones, stress or harsh products, it's normal and easy to soothe with a little care.
M
Macerate
A macerate is a preparation obtained by macerating a plant in a neutral vegetable oil to extract its active ingredients. Over several weeks, the plant naturally releases its beneficial properties into the oil. This gentle method allows for the natural extraction of active ingredients to create a rich and concentrated oil. In the Vulva Balm, for example, we use calendula macerate for its soothing and healing properties. In the Q Balm, we use witch hazel macerate, renowned for its astringent and hemostatic benefits. And always organic, of course.
Mucous membranes
The soft and fragile tissues that line the vulva and vagina, sensitive and delicate, love gentleness and a little attention.
P
Physiological pH
The natural acid-base balance of your intimacy; when it's happy, everything is fine, and when it sulks, it makes itself noticed!
V
Vulva
The visible part of your intimate area—labia, clitoris, vestibule… Every vulva is unique and deserves to be explored and celebrated. It should not be confused with the vagina, the internal part.
